Master Perfumer Rosendo Mateu

Rosendo Mateu, the creator of the perfume brand of the same name is the living image of a man who built himself and the brand from scratch, which is reflected in his work and especially in the perfectionism that characterizes each of his creations. For 45 years, Mateu has been one of the specialists at one of the world’s most prestigious perfume companies. During that time, he has developed dozens of fragrances, which bear his personal signature and the ambition to achieve a combination of commercial success and the creation of a unique product.

After working for some of the biggest international brands, Mateu devoted some of his time to more ambitious projects, such as the development of bespoke perfumes. This led him to study subjects as diverse as Greek civilization, the Roman Empire and the paintings of Francis Bacon.
